Dr. Skip Cheesman grew up in Mooresville and is a 1984 graduate of Mooresville High School. He is a 1988 graduate of the University of Indianapolis where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree. He completed his degree with a double major in Chemistry and Mathematics. He is a 1992 graduate of the IU School of Dentistry. While there he completed his training and received his certificate in I.V. Sedation. Dr. Cheesman gained extensive training and experience in dentoalveolar surgery while completing his Doctorate of Dental Surgery Degree at I.U. Today his patients benefit from this training and his years of experience since 1992. He has performed several thousands of cases involving third molar surgery (removal of wisdom teeth), full mouth extractions, alveloplasty in preparation for dentures and general dentistry while utilizing I.V. Sedation. If necessary he can utilize his privileges at a local surgery center, the operating room and a general anesthesiologist. His memberships include the American and Indiana Dental Associations. He received his training in dental implant placement and bone grafting from Dr. Carl Misch at the Misch Implant Institute. The Misch name is known worldwide as a leader in implant training, placement, and research and Dr. Cheesman is proud to have such training.
Dr. Cheesman has volunteered for several years locally and at Volunteers in Medicine Clinics performing general dentistry and surgery. He and his family live locally where they enjoy time together and with friends following local sports teams, staying physically active and travelling. He and his wife’s biggest joy is watching their son grow up and time with him.
